Someone Who Understands
My journey began in 1996 when my husband told me he was leaving our marriage to pursue a same-sex relationship. In a moment, the life I knew—and much of what I thought I understood about my faith—was shaken.
At the time, I struggled to find anyone who truly understood what I was going through. Eventually, God connected me with people who did. That became a turning point in my healing journey.
Today, my heart is to offer that same understanding and hope to others walking through the pain of same-sex betrayal.
Whether you are a wife, a husband, or a family member trying to understand and support someone you love, I want you to know—you don't have to walk this road alone.

When same-sex betrayal enters a marriage, the questions can feel overwhelming and the wound can be difficult to explain. Drawing from her own experience, Rachel shares the truths, struggles and lessons she discovered along her journey toward understanding, forgiveness and healing.
Written primarily from Rachel's experience as a betrayed wife, The Silent Wound also offers hope and understanding to husbands, family members and others walking alongside someone they love.
